The sociological analysis intends to offer some food for thought on the socio-cultural qualities of the craft industry in Molise, part of the processes of economic and social development that characterise the local regional system. In this context, the work of the craftsman in Molise is closely linked to a kind of job still capable of building, in a globalised society, a social knowledge that is handed down from generation to generation, whose contribution generates, in the regional community, a social identity and a sense of territorial belonging.
