A new proof of the theory of General Relativity through rotating black holes

Guido Risaliti

Observations performed with the newest NASA space telescope, NuSTAR, have revealed for the first time the signature of a rotating black hole on the X-ray radiation emitted by its accretion disk. This result yields fundamental new insights into the role of giant black holes in the evolution of their host galaxies.
