THE CALL FOR PAPERS SI OPEN

ISSUE Number V, May 31th, 2020

deadline for submissions: October 1st, 2019

«Diciottesimo secolo» is the official international open access journal of the Società Italiana di Studi sul Secolo XVIII (SISSD). It is committed to hosting critical debates covering a full range of eighteenth century subjects: from literature to history, from law to religion, from philosophy to science, from anthropology to the fine arts, from linguistics to ethics, from theatre to music. It is also intended as an instrument for providing updated information about current Italian research in eighteenth-century studies.

Published annually and double blind peer reviewed, the journal is divided into three sections: “Essays”, “Critical Notes” and “Reviews”.

The release of the fifth issue is scheduled for May 2020. The call for paper is open. The deadline for submission of articles is October 1st, 2019.

The length of the articles should not exceed the following numbers of characters (including spaces and footnotes): 50,000 “Essays”; 25,000 “Critical Notes”; 10,000 “Reviews”.

We welcome papers in Italian, English and French. Papers must be sent – along with a short CV, an abstract in English (max 600 characters, spaces included) and five keywords in English – to the following address: diciottesimosecolo@sissd.it

La scadenza per l’invio delle proposte è fissata al 1° ottobre 2019

«Diciottesimo secolo» è la rivista internazionale open access della Società Italiana di Studi sul Secolo XVIII (SISSD). Ha lo scopo di accogliere studi e dibattiti intorno al Settecento e ai suoi molteplici aspetti: dalla letteratura alla storia, dal diritto alla religione, dalla filosofia alla scienza, dall’antropologia all’arte, dalla linguistica alla morale, dal teatro alla musica. Si propone inoltre come luogo di aggiornamento e informazione sullo stato degli studi settecenteschi in Italia.                                                                               

La rivista ha cadenza annuale ed è divisa in tre sezioni: “Saggi”, “Note critiche”, “Recensioni”. I Saggi sono sottoposti a double blind peer review

È aperta la call for papersper il quinto numero di “Diciottesimo secolo”, la cui uscita è programmata per maggio 2020. La scadenza per l’invio delle proposte è fissata al 1° ottobre 2019. La lunghezza delle proposte non dovrà superare i seguenti numeri di battute (note e spazi inclusi): 50.000 i Saggi; 25.000 le Note critiche; 10.000 le Recensioni.

I contributi potranno essere redatti, oltre che in italiano, anche in inglese e in francese; dovranno essere preceduti da un breve Curriculum Vitae, insieme a un abstractin lingua inglese(max 600 battute, spazi inclusi) e dall’indicazione di cinque keywords in inglese, ed essere spediti a questo indirizzo: diciottesimosecolo@sissd.it

Diciottesimo Secolo awarded the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) SEAL

 

Diciottesimo Secolo and FUP are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) Seal.

The DOAJ only award the seal to “journals that adhere to an exceptionally high level of publishing standards and best practice”, so we are honored to be recognised in this way. 

 

To be awarded the DOAJ Seal journals must fulfil a set of criteria related to accessibility, openness, discoverability, reuse and author rights.

The call for paper is open. The deadline for submission of "Critical Notes" and "Reviews" for volume 4 is September 15, 2018

 The "Essays" section is complete for this issue. The length of the papers should not exceed the following numbers of characters (including spaces and footnotes): 25,000 “Critical Notes”; 10,000 “Reviews”.

We welcome papers in Italian, English and French. Papers must be sent – along with an abstract in English (max 600 characters, spaces included) and five keywords in English  – to the following address: diciottesimosecolo@sissd.it
Abstract and keywords are not required for Reviews.
