Al di là del waterfront: L’esperienza del parco fluviale del po torinese
Abstract
The breaking of the relationships between the cities and their environment has reduced the topic of waterfronts into mere actions of urban make-up. In this way, the role of water is just restricted into that of a mirror, reflecting the images of new architectures, which occupies the fragile ecotonal areas.
The plan of the Parco fluviale del Po Torinese is the total opposite to this trend. By the mean of a long experience in planning and in integrated management of the river area’s transformations, the Parco involves all the local actors for an active conservation of the river landscapes.
