Forme contemporanee dell’abitare
Abstract
This paper tries to find some archetypes in the contemporary city. We find translations of ancient villages (vacation resorts), or of the classic and baroque cities (traditional materials or curved streets). It’s common the refuse of the modern city, while the “sprawltown” destroys the environment with its low-density residential development and the use of the car. Another model is the futuristic one, based on cinema, literature, comics and animated movies: see Scott’s Los Angeles (Blade Runner), a mix of Art Decò and Star Trek, of West and far East.
