La riqualificazione delle periferie romane nel nuovo prg e nelle politiche comunali. Strumenti e realizzazioni
Abstract
The upgrading of roman suburbs in the new prg and in municipal policies. Instruments and achievements.
The redevelopment of urban outskirts is a central aspect of the new city planning scheme adopted in Rome. This scheme features a multipolar, polycentric model, defined by: the network of open spaces; the network of rail transportation; a system of new hubs placed in disadvantaged areas of the city. The local administration promotes this effort through several tools: the creation of new public space; the development of the natural and architectural heritage of these areas; the promotion of citizen participation to the design and implementation of the projects involved.
