Souvenirs d’un auditeur pour un avenir des musiques électroacoustiques?

The Belgian musicologist examines some aspects of the use of technology in the field of contemporary music production, from the fruition point of view. He consid- ers the revolution that their impact caused by creating a hierarchy of the ‘acoustic dimension’ that differs profoundly from that inherited from history. By comparing the ‘acoustic’ sounds with the ‘electroacoustic’ ones, the author assesses the differ- ent implications of the ‘musical sense’ of the latter, in relation to their use and their production, stressing the need for a contextualization of their expressive values inside musical composing.
