Abstract

The article describes Italy’s role in the Russian-Dutch caviar trade at the end of the 16th-first half of the 17th century. After illustrating the basic goods delivered from Russia to Italy through Amsterdam, thе author focuses on the activity of the main Dutch participants in the intermediary trade of caviar between Russia and Italy.
