Afrotropical Aleocharinae in the entomological collection of Wageningen University, Holland (Coleoptera Staphylinidae)

Abstract

Three tribes (Hypocyphtini, Athetini and Lomechusini), 5 genera (Oligota, Outachyusa, Hydrosmecta, Zyras and Aenictonia) and 5 species are dealt with in this paper. Three species are described as new to science: Hydrosmecta senegalensis n. sp. (Senegal), Zyras (Craspedonia) eburneaeorae n. sp. (Ivory Coast) and Aenictonia chadensis n. sp. (Republic of Chad). All new species are described, illustrated and compared with closely related species.
